Searching by Citation Number vs by Name

Name and license is the right fallback when the paper Pulaski County ticket has been lost. Both paths require picking the right Pulaski County court from the dropdown.

Court Traffic Records vs State Driver Records

CDL and Commercial Driver Records

Commercial driver license holders face stricter rules than other Pulaski County drivers. Federal law and Ark. Code § 27-23-101 et seq. require a CDL holder to report any Pulaski County traffic conviction in any vehicle to the employer within 30 days. Even a parking ticket or a five-mile speeding violation in a personal car still gets reported. Arkansas DFA's CDL/CMV offenses page groups Pulaski County traffic violations into minor, serious, and major categories.

Serious Pulaski County traffic violations can suspend a CDL. Two serious violations such as reckless driving, following too closely, or speeding more than 15 miles per hour over the limit within a three-year window trigger a 120-day disqualification. Major violations end careers. A first DWI, refusal of a chemical test, hit-and-run, vehicular homicide, or felony use of the truck brings a one-year disqualification. The window is three years for a hazmat hauler. A second major Pulaski County traffic violation results in a lifetime disqualification.

Note: A CDL holder convicted of a Pulaski County traffic offense can never seal that traffic record, even if the ticket was issued in a personal car.

Pulaski County District Court runs a Driving Probation Program that works like deferred adjudication on a Pulaski County traffic ticket. A driver who qualifies pays a $100 monitoring fee and a $35 defensive driving school fee. The Pulaski County traffic program runs six months. A driver who finishes without a new moving violation walks away with a dismissal, and the conviction is withheld from the driving record reported to DFA.

Eligibility for the Pulaski County traffic deferral is narrow. The driver cannot have a prior DWI or DUI. The driver cannot have any moving violation conviction within the past three years. The driver must hold current auto insurance, a current registration, and a valid Arkansas driver license. No failure to appear can sit on the record. The Pulaski County Special Services department at 501-340-6836 monitors defensive driving school attendance and reports completion back to the court.
